Thanos had never been stupid. He was just crazy.
He could sense that Adam wanted to tell him something, but he did not want to hear it. Right now, he only wanted some peace and quiet, tending to grain and vegetables every day, facing the earth as spring flowers bloomed.
So he gave the Sorcerer a piece of fruit, hoping to shut him up and tactfully convey that he did not want to hear anything serious. This universe no longer had anything to do with him.
However, Adam did not need his mouth to speak. He could simply use magic to vibrate the air. As he sucked the juice from the fruit, he spoke.
"I want to talk about something else, Thanos. Do you remember that Time Stone from Another World? The one I got for you from the Parallel Universe?"
"A foolish mistake. I already know. All I want now is peaceful sleep, so do not disturb me with this. The Infinity Stones have already been taken by the Living Tribunal and hidden throughout the universe again. You should not have come to ask me."
Thanos was utterly uninterested. What Infinity Stones? They were already a thing of the past to him.
"To help you find that Stone, I expended far too much energy. Forcing myself through multiversal travel has also shattered my mind. I fear I am about to fall into a long slumber."
Magus Adam glanced at Thanos's little thatched hut as though he had found a place to sleep, but he still shook his head and finished what he had to say.
"But you must remember this. That Stone may very well draw a terrifying enemy here. The original owner from the Parallel World has undergone a tremendous change and may have already pinpointed its location.
