Inside a gigantic H-shaped spacecraft, Death nestled against Thanos's elbow. She looked delicate and pitiful, uncertain about everything the future held.

Like the most ordinary woman, worrying over her livelihood.

This only made Thanos feel more tenderness for her. His massive purple hand settled on the Goddess's waist, pulling her into his embrace as he answered:

He seemed to have exhausted all his energy. His entire body had shrunk, and he was now only around forty meters tall, looking utterly listless.

Galactus was indeed powerful, and it was true that Thanos no longer had the Infinity Gauntlet. But with Death's assistance, Galactus alone could not withstand the two of them working together.
