"Settle the noncombatants in so they can rest. I won't be going yet." Captain Peggy stopped the Adjutant's teleportation. Looking down at the dried blood on her shield, she said, "I'm joining the action team to save people from other Parallel Worlds."

"Captain?" A Spider-Man stepped out from the crowd. He removed his mask, revealing a young face, and said firmly, "If we're going to save people, then I'm going too! If this really is a Multiversal Level disaster, then the humans of those Parallel Worlds are our compatriots."

"Oh, come on. Now that you've put it like that, I can't exactly stay out of it." The red-armored Iron Man released his secretary's waist, kissed the worried woman on the cheek, and walked over to Peggy. "How could an operation like yours possibly be without a genius like me? Count me in."

Gears of War stepped forward, the Black man patting Tony on the shoulder. "If Tony's going, then I'm going too. That's what brothers do."

The X-Men, the Great Lakes Avengers, and the other surviving Superheroes all volunteered to do their part. For a time, the air was filled with the radiant glow of friendship and conviction, moving everyone to tears.
