Loki looked a little bored. She sat on the railing to one side, her legs dangling and swinging. Tilting her head, she asked:
"Dear Sorcerer Supreme, can you get me some wine? I'm a little thirsty."
"Oh? Finished what I asked you to do?" Deathstroke chuckled as he took out a bottle of liquor from his belt pouch and tossed it to Loki.
Loki steadily caught the spinning bottle in midair, deftly twisted off the cap, and gulped it down as though she had been thirsty for ages. "Ah, done. Dealing with a scientist who doesn't understand magic—who do you think I am?"
"What are you two talking about?" Jessica leaned her little head over, eyeing them both suspiciously. A detective's curiosity had perked her up. "It feels like you two have some kind of secret. Hasn't Loki been with us the whole time? Also, she's actually a man, right?"
The string of questions made Su Ming feel that Jessica could work as a reporter for the Daily Bugle. It seemed that the Jessica of Earth-616 had really done that before.
"Physical sex is actually irrelevant to gods." Loki elegantly wiped the corner of her mouth with a fingertip, rubbing her fingertips together as she smiled. "But who knows? I am the God of Deception, after all. Maybe I've been a woman all along. Hehe."
Miss Jones pursed her lips and rubbed her stomach, clearly falling into doubt.
Although Loki was a man in countless myths and legends, if that had been a lie from beginning to end, then she might really be a woman.
So who, exactly, was wrong?
"Stop teasing her. Young people know nothing about Asgard. Times have changed, and if you say that, she'll suspect you and Thor have some kind of twisted relationship."
