With an IOU signed by Deathstroke, the Guardians of the Galaxy left happily. After all, if they were going to celebrate, drinking was more satisfying.
Once they left the coffee shop, the tiny store became quiet again. Su Ming noticed that the servers behind the counter had visibly relaxed. These people were clearly all insane, and the employees from DC understood just how dangerous insane people could be.
"The Guardians of the Galaxy are pretty interesting. I wanted to see them dance." Loki crossed her legs. She liked art quite a bit; back when she was in Asgard, she often watched operas and dances.
Su Ming smiled, picked up the Americano the server had brought over, and took a sip.
"Kamar-Taj is pretty close to A'San's side. If you like watching people dance, you can see all you want in Bollywood later."
"No, thanks. I don't get along with the gods over there. They're disgusting." Loki shook her head repeatedly, a look of distaste appearing on her face before quickly turning to suspicion. "Oh, right. Their calendar is synchronized with ours. After Ragnarök, shouldn't they have entered a new cycle too?"
The A'San pantheon had a phenomenon similar to Ragnarök: a cycle of "burning gods as firewood." Loki could not remember what it was called exactly. Sanskrit was too strange.
"No. They were all wiped out. I successfully stopped Ragnarök, so that universe naturally had to make up the balance somewhere else." Deathstroke calmly pulled out a cigarette. Chatting with Loki while waiting for the delivery was not bad. "But they'll never have to go through another cycle again. They've been completely liberated. That's good."
Once you were dead beyond all doubt, you no longer had to worry about how to live in the future. That was the truth.
