A moment later, Deathstroke strolled back alone. The melon that had been plucked was now a pile of fragments.
No one knew what the two had talked about, but he seemed to be in a good mood. He had even given the victim a quick death.
"Let's go. We're heading upstairs to find a spot with good feng shui." Returning to the group, he spoke another phrase no one quite understood, then patted the line girl on the head. "Did you have fun talking to Barry?"
"Hmph. It was barely not boring." The line person sneered and tugged Deathstroke toward the stairs. "Hurry up and find more people for me to kill. Keep looking at me, not anyone else, or I'll kill them all."
"Don't rush. Let me deal with this trash first." Deathstroke pulled several Melt Grenades from his belt pouch. Since they were made for Space Marines, each grenade was about the size of a pack of explosives.
He pressed the activation buttons and tossed them into the two different piles of robotic wreckage. Before long, dazzling white heat flared up. The metal melted like soft clay, completely erasing the evidence.
"You didn't touch any of their parts, did you?" Deathstroke turned his head toward Cyborg behind him.
"No, but I'm a little confused. Do we really need to be this careful?" Victor sighed, watching the burning heaps that still occasionally produced small explosions. His neck felt a little chilly.
Their footsteps rang out again. No one would take an elevator in a building controlled by the enemy, so they all headed for the stairwell, planning to fly upward from there.
"There are plenty of things no one can be sure about. Better safe than sorry." Su Ming drew out the last words slightly.
As they entered the
