"How many is this?"
Su Ming held up two fingers and waved them back and forth in front of Cyborg's eyes at sublight speed.
The young man who had just awakened tried his best to see clearly, but the harder he tried to focus on those fingers, the more dizzy and disoriented he became.
"I... I can't see clearly."
The self-diagnostic program in his brain was still running. Streams of data cascaded through his red cybernetic eye like a waterfall, obscuring half his vision.
He began to worry that something had gone wrong with him.
Had his visual center been damaged? Or had the logic module for counting malfunctioned?
But Deathstroke merely reached down and pulled him to his feet, then nodded to Barry nearby. "It's right that he can't see clearly. If he could, then Grid would be the one who woke up. Looks like your mission succeeded."
Barry let out a long breath, pushed the laptop resting on his knees forward, and stretched out his legs while sitting on the floor.
"Finally. Without Mother Advent's help, I really couldn't have rewritten all that alien code alone. I don't even understand Apokolips's language, and the Mother Box is far too complicated."
"Actually, I don't understand it either, but I knew the answer." Holy Arrival rose with a smile and smoothed the folds of her robes. "Looks like it's time for you to leave."
"That's true, but if Darkseid intends to target everyone's Consciousness Layer, I may still need your help in the future." Deathstroke nodded. The next step was to dig deep into Cyborg's mind for intelligence, and that naturally had to be done back in the real Main Dimension.
