Now, however, the corridor walls were smooth and white, the metal floor shone like a mirror, and the bright lights gave off a comforting warmth, illuminating the machine soldiers that had swarmed over after noticing the disturbance.
Up close, these robots looked fairly decent: heavy armor, heavy weapons, angular designs, white frames accented with fluorescent green lines. They looked technological through and through.
