The underground headquarters hall of Justice League Dark was brightly lit. The enormous dragon skeleton hanging from the center of the circular hall's ceiling gleamed beneath the light of glowing jars, reflecting the faint yellow sheen unique to bone.
Justice League Dark not only had Magic Circles for protection, but its usual lighting did not rely on electricity either. They used either luminous insects sealed in jars or candles and oil lamps, giving them an advantage at a time like this.
They went straight to the underground warehouse through the Spider Totem. As soon as they pushed open the door, they saw Man-Bat talking to Doctor Fate. Since his scientific equipment was useless after the power outage, Man-Bat had little to do.
"Uh, Deathstroke, didn't you leave earlier? Why are you back already?"
Man-Bat's pointed ears twitched a few times as he was the first to notice Deathstroke and the others emerging from the darkness.
"The whole world has lost power. Haven't you done anything about it?" Bobo walked over to see what the two were doing, only to find that they had started a game of chess after the blackout and had barely made a few moves. The gorilla said speechlessly, "You're a scientist. Didn't you wonder why the Hall of Justice lost power?"
Man-Bat pushed up the glasses on his face with one finger. His black-furred head, just like Bobo's, shook. "My specialties are chemistry and biology. Besides, I've only recently started learning magic."
Khalid, standing nearby, raised his hand. The eighth Doctor Fate, whom Bobo and Deathstroke had rescued from a jar, was an honest man. Concern showed on his Middle Eastern features.
