The flash of teleportation light vanished in an instant, and Su Ming returned to the ship at Gotham South Harbor with Polaris. Bobo and Kate were eating skewers, while Julia had somehow gotten hold of a charcoal stove and was grilling sausages nearby.
She had perfectly inherited Alfred's cooking skills. Unfortunately, Su Ming had a bit of an issue with grilled meat.
"Ah, that was fast. You're back already?" Bobo's mouth was greasy from eating, and he hurriedly swallowed the bell pepper in his mouth. "And this lady is?"
"Lorna Lehnsherr. A Mutant. You can call me Polaris." Without waiting for Su Ming to introduce her, the green-haired girl in a black leather jacket coolly introduced herself. She pointed at the sofa nearby. "Also, where are the robots I'm supposed to kill?"
The docks were calm and peaceful. Forget robots—there was not even a living person around besides them.
The dark city in the distance seemed rather lively, though. Were they setting off fireworks?
"Have a seat, beautiful." Kate had once been a rebellious girl herself. As a lesbian, she liked pretty girls too, and she was acting quite generous now. "What would you like to drink?"
Polaris possessed a sickly beauty that suited Gotham perfectly. Her body was thin, she wore black, and her eyes constantly gleamed with an unnatural excitement. As she sat on the sofa, she nervously bit her nails and looked around.
Kate found that adorable.
"Anything is fine. Mr. Wilson, I can have a little, right?" Lorna turned to glance at Deathstroke behind her. She looked frail and sickly, as if today was another day when her depression had flared up.
"You can. From what we know, robots are everywhere on Earth. We only need to keep an eye on them, so there's no rush."
