The cave was damp and dark. The air of the Cretaceous Period always carried a faintly strange smell, and it was even more obvious in a poorly ventilated place like this cave.

After only a few steps, Su Ming stopped. He ran a hand over the rock wall beside him, then held his palm out for the gorilla to see.

Bobo had no night vision, but he had a lighter. The flame flickered briefly in the darkness, and he nodded.

"Those are the red-and-black inverted seven-spotted ladybugs. So they're underground creatures?"

"Probably mushroom-eaters. Who knows? I thought they'd be social creatures." Deathstroke tossed aside the little beetle and let Cloak carry the gorilla onward. "Things are more or less as I expected. Stay alert."

As he spoke, several Red Rays suddenly shot out of the distant darkness in the tunnel, like dawn piercing through the night.

But Su Ming had been ready. With a sweep of his Lightsaber, the Heat Vision beams went straight back where they had come from. Several muffled groans sounded in the distance; apparently, more people had set their crotches on fire.

Bobo could not see very far, but he could still see the red rays. He immediately hid behind Deathstroke, feeling immensely safe, and even cracked a joke.

"You didn't design that move specifically to deal with Superman, did you? Like how Batwoman has all sorts of backup plans for Superman, you came up with some psychological trick that connects to reality?"

Superman was still a man. Even with his incredible defenses, getting burned there would probably hurt unbearably, right?

Then another question occurred to him. Was Superman the ultimate spear or the ultimate shield? What would happen if he used his own Heat Vision to burn his own dick?
