After listening to the pointless arguing in the supermarket for about ten minutes, Su Ming decided the time was about right.
He had Strangle gather some moisture from the mist on his forehead, making it look as if he were drenched in sweat. Then, carrying a large pile of medicine, he and Magik returned to the entrance of the supermarket.
"Open the door! I'm back! I found medicine and brought it back!"
He shouted rather loudly, his urgent voice echoing through the mist-filled street. The point was to make the people in the supermarket worry that monsters might be drawn here, creating a sense of tension.
"Don't shout! We're opening it now!" The people almost immediately rushed to the door, clumsily moving aside the heavy objects blocking it. The fat manager anxiously stopped him from shouting again, but did not forget to stick a hand through the crack in the door. "Give me your guns."
Su Ming tilted his head, signaling Magik to hand over the guns from their waists.
But the smile that had lingered in Little Fatty's eyes froze the instant he got his hands on the weapons.
"Why are these toy guns?"
That was right. Though they looked like real revolvers, one could tell upon picking them up that they were plastic coated in silver paint. They were light as feathers, and the opening for loading BB pellets was even visible.
"We're cosplaying. What normal person would walk around the streets carrying real guns?" Su Ming, holding a large cardboard box, immediately gave him a speechless look, as though disgusted by his intelligence.
