"Spider-Man, over here."

In the shadowed street corner beyond the reach of the streetlights, Deathstroke stood with the Ancient One, waving at Peter as he trudged dejectedly out of the building.

Little Bug looked rather downcast. Even his shoulders drooped as he walked heavily, one hand covering his injured arm, his head hanging low as he stared at the ground.

The light spilling from the building stretched his shadow long behind him, as though it were a burden.

"Ah, Mr. Deathstroke, good evening." He perked up and walked over, though the worry in his voice was impossible to hide.

"Did someone beat you up? What happened?" Su Ming pretended to be an uninvolved passerby, taking out a Band-Aid printed with a white cat head and sticking it onto Peter's arm.

"Uh, some things happened. A woman stole something from Hydra and The Hand. I wanted to help her, but she ran away." Little Bug honestly explained what had happened. His head kept turning from side to side, as though he were trying to see whether Black Cat was spying from somewhere, but she was nowhere to be found. "I contacted S.H.I.E.L.D. just now. They're on their way to take custody of the prisoners, so I came downstairs to get some air."

Su Ming handed him some candy and rubbed the boy's head. "I see. Then you don't need to worry about this. I'll handle it."

"Really? That's great. But that thief isn't actually a bad person. Please don't hurt her."

Peter accepted Deathstroke's candy. Something sweet helped brighten his mood. Then he looked at the smiling Mage beside him and, after hesitating for a moment, introduced himself.

"Hello, Master. I'm Spider-Man. Um, an immature student hero. Sigh, I really embarrassed myself just now. I actually let the thief get away."
