Early the next morning, Earth time.

This had no meaning to the universe itself, and it should have been the same for TVA headquarters, located at the beginning of time.

But stories had always been what gave time meaning. When characters began to act, stories were born, and time became meaningful as well.

The Time Variance Authority had been shut down for reorganization until now. After all, it was something acquired from Kang the Conqueror, so it had to be thoroughly inspected from top to bottom before it could be put back into use. But the facts proved—

Kang was still Kang, unchanged in the slightest. The things he had "given" Deathstroke were, as always, big and good.

The Adjutant said there were no backdoors, no vulnerabilities, and every function was complete. It was a perfect fortress located at the starting point of the Timeline. Perhaps even if the Seventh Firmament ended and its collapse swept across the Multiverse, nothing would happen here.

Of course, Sepulk could do all that too.

But unlike Sepulk's style of red lights and black architecture everywhere, TVA was resplendent in gold and jade, brightly lit. The space in some rooms could be adjusted freely—large if one wanted it large, small if one wanted it small—and all sorts of "scenes" could be used.

For example, if someone wanted to experience the sights of Hawaii, vivid holographic projections could place everyone right on a beach. The sea breeze, the rustling of coconut leaves, the sound and salty scent of the waves—all of it was no different from the real Hawaii.

And if Hawaii was not to one's liking, there were scenes such as the Arctic, the African Great Rift Valley, Asgard, the surface of the moon, and more.

They were probably places that Kang had visited
