Fury stared blankly at the female version of Deathstroke and muttered to himself.
"What is it, Director? What did you see?" Natasha leaned toward Black Egg, holding back a laugh as she deliberately asked what he thought, intending to tell her boss later as a joke.
"Whew! No, nothing."
But Fury was worthy of being the greatest agent. He immediately calmed down and walked into the spire as if nothing had happened, though his steps were a little stiff.
But that was only outward appearances. No one knew what was really going through his mind.
From afar, TVA's spire looked like an inverted cone. The transportation hub was located on the lowest platform, where the guests were arriving. However, the means of transport they brought themselves or had been assigned had all been teleported over by the Adjutant, so quite a few people started vomiting the moment they got out. It was quite an opening.
After all, someone was always bound to have trouble with their first trans-dimensional teleportation.
The platform outside the spire was lined with signs, while countless Synthezoids served as attendants. Cloned Men in Black acted as TVA headquarters security personnel, and some Kamar-Taj students could also be seen among them. They had come to experience a bit of everyday bustle.
To put it plainly, it was a sea of people, colorful flags fluttering, drums and gongs roaring, everyone celebrating together.
Su Ming had even invited the Seven Warlords of the Sea of Death. Today, though, they were carrying not coffins but a sound system, blasting energetic dance music as they twisted their bodies like maniacs on the platform outside the entrance.
