That simple answer alone set off thunderous applause from the audience. Some people even fainted with flushed faces, as though Lorna's smile had pushed them into a complete frenzy.
Honestly, even Polaris did not understand why people treated everything she casually said as gospel. Even the coldest jokes got enthusiastic reactions, but she liked the feeling.
This world was simply too wonderful for Mutants. It made her not want to leave at all.
"Oh, our new Superhero is far too modest." After waiting for the applause to subside, the host began flattering her with a broad smile. "Not everyone can step forward at a critical moment to stop Compound V's conspiracy. Those of us who were deceived by that evil company in the past all owe you a debt of gratitude."
"Hehe, haha, no, you're praising me too much. You're making me blush." Polaris scratched her head a little shyly, her long green hair slipping through her fingers.
Yet even those utterly ordinary words provoked another wave of wild applause from below the stage. No matter what she said, as long as she opened her mouth, someone would cheer.
There was no other reason. Superhero fans in this world were simply that crazy.
But just then, blue light appeared beneath the stage spotlight. A man in black-and-yellow armor stepped out of it, followed by a woman in a red dress.
