Deathstroke watched the broadcast projection playing through the Adjutant, flicking ash from the cigarette between his fingers without much surprise. "With Superman's abilities, he should be able to draw enough attention. It just depends on whether the fish bite fast enough."
"They are planning to enter the battlefield together. Angela provided some intelligence regarding the Dark Elves' methods of transportation, Sheriff." The Adjutant delivered a brief report based on intercepted information, then waited for further instructions.
"Handle the Atlanteans' problem first. Deploy the underwater Synthezoids. It's impossible that every Atlantean is wearing a Serpent Crown. Find the Survivors and place them in protective custody."
Su Ming was in no hurry. Watching New York City endure something that was hard to tell whether it was being steamed or roasted, his thoughts instead turned to the ocean.
After all, the sea was like a fish tank. Without the Atlanteans, it would always feel a little dull.
Still, even if they were all wiped out, it would not matter. Deathstroke had clone technology seized from The Boys Universe. At worst, he could extract some genes from the corpses and ask Luthor, the inventor of the original technology, to make another batch.
"Underwater Synthezoid deployment has been completed. The search operation is underway. Estimated time to search all of Earth's waters: twenty-one hours." The Adjutant's projection nodded, gave an estimate, then blinked as she waited for the Sheriff's next order.
For a moment, Su Ming realized he did not seem to have anything to do. Fishing was like that—the period spent waiting for the fish to bite was actually the most boring part of the whole process.
"How about I tell you two a joke? We're idle anyway."
