In the boundless universe floated a tiny planet.

Though it was small, it had everything it needed, possessing all the conditions necessary for life to arise.

Within the planetary system where it resided were six other planets, four of which were gaseous. Under the light of the star, they constantly reflected brilliant colors.

This Earthlike planet had two moons. One had been born alongside it, while the other had later been captured by its gravity. It was this act that melted the ice at the planet's poles, creating liquid water and allowing life to emerge.

On the planet, which had gradually turned blue, stood three continents. The one in the middle was inhabited by a humanoid species of ape, who innocently believed themselves to be the only intelligent life in the universe.

On the southern continent lived enormous carnivorous plants. They possessed vibrant flowers and sharp teeth, and could hunt with pistil-like tentacles.

Though their movements were restricted, they possessed the most advanced minds on the planet.

These flowers were called Quarians. Unlike their neighbors on the same planet, they fell asleep when sunlight did not shine upon them, and they dreamed.

At that very moment, a Little Flower was sleeping, its petals closed beneath the starlight, its stem and leaves tightly curled together.

And in its dream, it saw another strange Big Flower.

The being crowned with pale blossoms had dark, magnificent leaves. Little Flower could not think of how to describe its soul-stirring beauty; it only wished to cling at its feet.
