The Fortress of Doom hovered silently across from the skyscraper's rooftop. The metal burial mound of a fortress gradually faded from sight, ready to carry the villains to the battlefield as it had done before.

Sirens echoed between the city's towers, but the security forces from the company that owned the building found nothing. Technology might have advanced by the twenty-fifth century, but the Immortal Council had visited countless Time Points.

The technology that made up the fortress came from the thirty-fourth century, nine hundred years beyond the corporate-controlled dystopia. It was the mad era when Vandal Savage ruled Earth.

Not everyone missed the fortress's arrival and departure, though. In one corner of the rooftop, behind an open-air bar, a small door had opened briefly. A pointy-eared head had poked out.

When the fortress vanished into thin air, the dark, pointy-eared figure slipped back behind the door. Once it shut, the door blended into the wall, as though The Doorway had never existed there.

In the Hall of Doom, bright lights shone on the Round Table. The mark of Destruction still gleamed, but even Luthor no longer believed in it. To him, the Door Handle was nothing more than a prop.

Brainiac was preparing to teleport the fortress back into the Divinity. Everyone else sat idle in their seats. Cheetah occasionally exchanged a few words with Sinestro, while Cyborg kept pestering Damian, hoping the boy could answer his questions.

"Without Turtle's baby, your Amazo got the Still Force from the Timeline?" Su Ming brought out some fine liquor to share with Luthor and asked the question as if it had only just occurred to him.
