Clearly, Luthor was a pragmatist. He loathed all forms of formalism. People like him had no sense of ritual in life whatsoever and were bound to live plainly and tediously.

"You mean we either leave immediately and continue on to the next world, or stay here for a while, see if we can profit from their conflict, and make some preparations for the next world."

He was no fun at all, laying out the choices outright.

At present, both options had their pros and cons.

They could let the Hand of the Void and Darkseid's subordinates remain tangled up here while their own team jumped into the next world and headed straight for the finish line.

But they had already seen Parademons on the second-to-last jump. The next jump would very likely lead to a universe completely controlled by Darkseid—the final line of defense before their destination. It might not be so easy to slip through.

The Hand of the Void was clearly gathering intelligence in this world. The way those sea-anemone zombies ate Parademons' heads suggested that it might be some method of reading memories.

If they helped the Evil Thought Nobles clear this world, they might be able to rely on them again in the next one to muddy the waters and avoid having their own team discovered.

But helping the Hand of the Void in this world also carried the risk of being bitten back. The "void" that sought to twist every story did not care which side it was facing.

"We have not been exposed yet. Stealth is our advantage." Brainiac joined the discussion and offered his view. "As long as we can remain hidden, we still have a fifty percent chance of reaching the final destination safely. I am confident I can control this ship."
