Su Ming would not have been surprised at all if Luthor had created a whole bunch of cloned Supermen and Robot Supermen.

The bald man had always possessed a peculiar obsession with Superman, a fixation on proving that he was stronger than Superman. He loved and hated Superman alike. That was what an arch-nemesis was.

But what was going on with Darkseid?

Granted, Superman was the only opponent Uncle Darkseid thought highly of on Earth. Every time Superman disappeared, Darkseid would launch an invasion almost immediately because he believed Earth was left undefended.

But surely he would not go this far. Creating Supermen on a sunless Earth? Had some wire in his head gotten crossed?

And besides, Superman had not been the one to defeat Darkseid the last few times. It had been him, an ordinary human—Deathstroke the Mercenary.

So was there a possibility?

Could this so-called Apokolips Alliance consist entirely of Deathstroke clones spliced with Kryptonian genes? Then they put various Superman names on the finished products?

It sounded unnecessarily roundabout at first, like taking off your pants to fart, but lunatics loved that sort of thing. To them, it was a ritual that satisfied certain twisted urges.

There was no way to know for now, because the undead corpse they had killed did not know his own origins. He merely dressed like Superman, and the Omega Beams shooting from his eyes looked somewhat like Heat Vision.

Su Ming had always been careful. There was no way his DNA could have ended up outside. But if Uncle Darkseid had used other Deathstrokes as samples, then it was normal for their Healing Factors to be weak.

At the very least, they were not capable of instantly regenerating after losing limbs. Even Su Ming's own Rapid Healing relied on the Symbiotes.
