The Nuwali's method of transportation was somewhat different from what Su Ming had previously imagined.
He had originally assumed it would be the most common kind of Quantum Teleportation, the easiest approach to achieve through technology: converting people into quanta, then reconstructing them at the destination. That was the communication logic behind Quantum Entanglement.
But the Nuwali used Spatial Displacement Technology. It was quite peculiar. After the three of them stepped onto the teleportation platform, the cylindrical space around them was treated as a whole—a "cargo container" that did not exist in the Material World—then exchanged with a space of identical size on the Nuwali Homeworld.
There was no step where they were broken down into quanta. It was more like digging out a piece of space from the original location and filling it with an equally sized piece taken from Earth.
Most importantly, it all happened in complete silence. There were no spatial tremors, no obvious energy dissipation, and the journey was extremely comfortable for all three of them.
"Wonderful. This teleportation isn't as versatile as a Boom Tube, and it probably requires teleportation platforms to be built, but cargo transport needs exactly this kind of technology."
Su Ming stood in an unfamiliar room that seemed to have been abandoned for a long time as well. Dust and empty boxes were everywhere. According to Strangle's analysis, that dust had once been flower petals a very, very long time ago.
"Ow! It's pitch-black. I can't see anything."
Squirrel Girl ran into Deathstroke's back, bounced off with a duang, and landed on the floor on her butt.
"The zoo has been out of operation for far too long. Looks like this Earth Flower Transfer Station was shelved too." Su Ming had Strangle help her up while he examined the surroundings.
