"Very good, Batwoman. You did very well. You really found them."

The Joker, dressed in a handsome purple suit, walked beside Batwoman without any restraints. He was still behaving himself, or rather, he was practically glued to his arch-nemesis.

The people at City Hall had long since been rescued by Batman, but that was merely the first stage and utterly unimportant. In the Joker's eyes, the lives of the rich were no different from those of the poor, so they were insignificant.

The only things that interested him were what Batwoman cared about, or what Batwoman hated.

The madman had added something extra to the city's fireworks. Some shells would burst after reaching the sky, releasing laughing gas, powdered Fear Gas, or other delightful things. As for why he had used Scarecrow's invention? Mainly because having choices created uncertainty, making people anticipate surprises before every firework exploded.

However, Batwoman had just found this batch of fireworks and recovered them all.

"Maybe next time, you shouldn't paint on your own work," Batwoman replied coldly. The reason she had been able to seize the unfired dangerous fireworks so quickly was because the Joker had painted smiley faces on every shell he had handled.

"Hmm! Makes sense, but where would the fun be in that? Hahaha!"

The Joker threw an arm around Batwoman's shoulders and laughed so hard he doubled over. Then, suddenly, he stopped laughing, his voice turning sorrowful.

"You're still far from the final answer. Hurry up, Little Bat, there isn't much time left. Deathstroke's progress may already be far ahead of yours, even though you're supposed to be the best detective on our Earth."

"His progress has nothing to do with me."

The man summoned the Bat-plane, which would take away the nonflammable contraband before them for harmless disposal.
