With Deathstroke's eyesight, he could clearly see the heavy rain clouds above Gotham, hanging over the city like a black lid.

But for some reason, they suddenly looked like a gigantic egg to him, as though something were writhing inside the shell. Maybe a snake? Maybe a lizard? But definitely some kind of cold-blooded monster.

That made him stop atop the small hill instead of continuing with his plan, silently pondering as rainwater slid off his armor like dew and shattered into droplets on the grass.

Bobo, curled up on his shoulder, was fiddling with his pipe. Its red wooden stem had been polished bright by his furry claws. Drizzle was nothing to a gorilla, but Blüdhaven's lifeless nighttime streets left him feeling a little cold.

"Wait a moment, everyone. My instincts are telling me something is wrong with Gotham. I need to ask the Adjutant."

He had Strangle contact the Adjutant without a sound. His teammates all understood, finding a small tree with dense foliage nearby and taking shelter beneath it.

"Report everything that happened after I left Gotham. I only went to Rhode Island, yet now, even from this far away in Blüdhaven, Gotham is making my skin crawl."

The Adjutant's projection appeared like a ghost and began playing surveillance footage of certain people in Gotham after the Sheriff had left.

It showed that Batwoman had arrived at the police station shortly after Deathstroke departed. She remained inside for a long time, then left roughly half an hour later and took a flying vehicle to the Hall
