The group made their way to the entrance of the Theater's warehouse.
Buildings like theaters generally had enormous warehouses. Stage backdrops, props, lighting rigs, and all sorts of other equipment took up a great deal of space, not to mention the costumes and miscellaneous belongings of countless actors, all of which needed somewhere to be stored.
The better the theater, the larger its warehouse—that was only natural. If everything had to be rented, then it was just some makeshift troupe. There was no way they could manage something like ballet.
At any rate, Su Ming had only ever seen traveling troupes performing stripteases between villages and towns. He had never seen a traveling ballet company.
So, faced with the spacious warehouse doors wide enough for trucks to pass through, everyone remained calm. They had expected this much.
There was something unexpected, however. Faint clanging sounds came from behind the doors, as though a large group of people were collectively hammering iron.
They had just been discussing the possibility of finding blacksmith to merge the Nanomachines and the Leopard Transformation Curse. Now that they heard hammering, everyone's gazes inevitably shifted toward Deathstroke, worried that he had really guessed right.
Su Ming did not rush to push open the doors. Instead, he had Strangle extend a tiny tentacle through the gap beneath them and peek inside like a tactical inspection camera. Then he stroked his chin and smiled.
"Oh? There's something this good?"
With that, he raised a foot and kicked the warehouse doors flying inward before swaggering inside.
Tall shelves stood everywhere, piled with all manner of props, all of them covered in a layer of dust. Fake medieval crystal chandeliers, enormous fantastical mushrooms, and similar things were stacked all over the place.
