"What do you think Batwoman is thinking?"
Bobo, sipping milk tea, asked Deathstroke. The wait was a little boring, so he had requested the live surveillance feed from Gotham. Everyone treated it like a football match, except what was being kicked around in Gotham were human heads.
The Last 52 Legion members were carrying out random killings. Some of the city's more active groups rose up to resist, while others took the opportunity to loot and plunder.
The once-lively carnival had become a complete mess. The fireworks, perhaps set to launch automatically by some computer program, continued bursting across the night sky without pause even as the city below nearly descended into total chaos.
Then there were those dark clouds that constantly poured acid rain, like a curtain of darkness. Even though the shockwaves from Last Day and Black Adam's battle could scatter them briefly, they would gather again at an eerie speed.
"What do you mean? Are you asking why Batwoman designed a suicide robot, or why she is letting that robot hunt her down?"
Su Ming refilled his own cup of milk tea and smiled as he questioned the ape.
"Obviously the latter. Batwoman has always had self-destructive tendencies; I know that." The ape took a deep drag from his cigarette, then chased it with milk tea. "But she should have a backup plan for dealing with that robot."
"She definitely does, but she deliberately forgot it."
Su Ming calmly explained to his equally curious teammates:
"If I were her, and I designed a killing robot to prevent myself from going insane, while also needing a way to counter it if the robot went insane, I would need to ensure the plan worked without letting my insane future self know about it."
"I get it. Psychological suggestion."
