People from China had always had a habit of discussing business at the dinner table, so even as they dug into the delicious seafood risotto, the conversation never stopped.
But Zorn Batman really was a culinary genius. Of course, maybe the ingredients he used were simply top-tier to begin with, but Deathstroke had not eaten seafood rice this good in a long time.
When was the last time he had seafood? That time he went to Arthur's house and grilled ornamental fish?
"What about The Last 52 Legion?" Holding his spoon sideways, Detective Chimp shoveled a huge spoonful of rice into his mouth. After chewing a few times, he somewhat indistinctly raised the next topic. "Their motive is supposedly to avenge The Batman Who Laughs. What do you think?"
"That possibility exists, but it isn't very likely, Detective Chimp."
Batwoman sat down as well. The command work over at the Hall of Justice had temporarily come to an end, and she at least had time for a meal.
"The 52 Legion consists of hundreds of different individuals. And from my observations, their madness is fairly limited. They don't seem like fanatical followers of The Batman Who Laughs. They are more like a group of villains, each with their own agenda, who think they've boarded a great ship."
In their eyes, "My Lord" might have been that great ship. They had come to Earth-0 to gain benefits, just like people in the past who crossed the ocean from the United Kingdom to North America in search of gold, chasing every kind of dream of getting rich.
What they did not know was that, setting aside the mysterious Blank's motives, even the Remnant's goal was to reboot the Multiverse and drag everyone down with it.
"Then they clearly boarded the Titanic."
