In one of Sepulk's buildings, Deathstroke sat quietly on a meditation cushion, waiting in the darkness.
This super Death Star was filled with black-and-red metalwork, yet this room seemed utterly out of place. It was a completely chinese-style meditation chamber. Not only was there a large cauldron in the center, but the surrounding walls were decorated with ink paintings.
Vermilion pillars supported the ceiling, though they were really just decorative. From the outside, this room looked no different from the tens of millions of other buildings in Sepulk.
But Su Ming knew it would find him.
Time always passed quickly in the darkness. As someone who wielded both time and darkness, Deathstroke was perfectly at home in this environment.
Still, he did not have Adjutant use the TVA to speed up Sepulk's Timeline. Instead, he lit a cigarette, propped his elbow on the huanghuali kang table, and waited in silence.
After an unknown amount of time, a spark suddenly appeared in the darkness. The flame flickered like ghost fire, illuminating the body beneath it.

Dream of a Thousand Cats swished its tail and stepped out of the flames with narrowed eyes. Its tail was held high like a torch, cheerfully swaying from side to side.
"Looks like you understood the hint I gave you when I left."
"Yeah. You displayed an ink-painted circle on your fur, and that could have referred to many things."
Su Ming pulled out a can of tuna from his belt pouch, opened it, and placed it on the edge of the kang, signaling for the Big Cat to come eat.
