The entire dimension was dominated by forests. There were no real mountains here either; the place Groot wanted to take everyone to could, at most, be called a small hill slightly higher than the surrounding ground.
It was probably around a hundred meters above sea level. That height definitely did not qualify as a mountain; at best, it was a slope.
But there was no choice. It was the highest ground within their current field of view. Even if they could not find a cave to defend, forming up on the hilltop would at least give them the advantage of high ground.
An enormous number of bizarre plants were surging toward them without end. Their fang-filled mouths emitted piercing noise that made people restless and agitated.
Fortunately, most of those present were agents and were fairly good at controlling their emotions. At the very least, no one had gone mad because of the noise.
Oh, Thor seemed to be the exception. The louder the enemies screamed, the more his fighting spirit rose. He seemed determined to make all those plants shut up.
But how should they put it? This forest appeared to cover tens of thousands of square kilometers. Even if the plants did not fight back and simply stood there waiting to be chopped down, it would take ten days or half a month without heavy logging machinery.
And now these things could fight back. Not only could they attack physically, every single one of them carried toxins.
Whether they could actually bite anyone was another matter, but they were keeping everyone on edge.
"They're still afraid of fire."
With Coulson absent, Cavalry was commanding the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Tied to Groot's chest for protection, she still watched Thor's situation through the two thick wooden arms.
"Did you see it?
