Driving the carriage and following Deathstroke's guidance, they traveled along the road for some distance before reaching what seemed like the "edge" of a dimension.
An invisible wall seemed to stand before them. They could touch it and see the scenery beyond it, yet they could go no farther.
Before the others could ask any questions, Jessica jumped down from the carriage. Under the bewildered gaze of even the old horse pulling it, she took four steps to the left, then three steps to the right. Then she painfully closed her eyes, lowered her head, and began to tremble.
But three seconds later, as though she had been electrocuted, she wildly shook her head and body, let out strange monkey-like cries, hopped and jumped around, and spoke in a language none of them understood.
"What is she doing?"
They had only been traveling for a short while, and Sif once again could not understand what she was seeing. She found Earthlings truly difficult to comprehend.
Even Thor had changed after spending some time on Earth. Sif had never imagined one's living environment could have such a great influence on a person.

Dr. Banner, who had seen much and experienced much, adjusted his glasses and smiled mildly.
"When I was evading General Ross's pursuit, I hid in Asia for a while. There was a mysterious magical ritual there called a Spirit Medium Ritual. It involved calling upon powerful gods to descend and possess someone, accomplishing things beyond human ability."
Though he was a physicist, Dr. Banner did not deny the existence of magic. While fleeing, he had encountered no shortage of strange people.
