Lucifer gave Deathstroke a half-smile, touched his face, and seemed to notice something without exposing it. He merely said gently:

"Then thank you?"

"Heh heh, don't mention it. You helped me plenty in the past, so it's only right that I help you." Su Ming patted his chest, and his black-and-yellow armor gave off a dull thump. "Next time I ask you for help, just don't ask me what price I'm willing to pay."

"Don't worry, I won't. I've always liked you, Slade." Lucifer turned to look at the sea, but all he saw were assorted pieces of trash floating around the storm drain. "When you die someday, I'll take your soul to Hell, help you reincarnate as a demon, and keep you by my side as my second-in-command forever."

"If I ever kick the bucket, my soul will have already been claimed by Death." Deathstroke used the Force to pick an empty milk carton off the sea and examined it in his hand. "Let's get back to business, my Lord Satan. What have you found?"

"Don't call me that. Alexander feels awkward saying it; Maze is Satan now." Lucifer stretched lazily and let out a comfortable sound. "I did find something. Everyone whose wish came true was faithless. Interesting, isn't it?"

"The faithless."

Su Ming turned to look at Batwoman beside him.

"Don't look at me. Gotham is my faith." Batwoman naturally knew what Deathstroke was thinking and immediately ruled out that possibility. "I tried making a wish, but nothing happened."

"Mm, that makes sense." Lucifer walked over and touched Batwoman's chest, tracing the edge of the bat emblem with his fingers. "I've always heard that you love only Gotham, to the point of madness. Fine, Batwoman doesn't count. Deathstroke, do you have a faith?"
