Just as Cockroach hesitated over where to set foot on a blurred mass inside the jar, alarms suddenly blared within Sepulk. The already red lights began flashing, and the Space Marines serving as guards immediately entered combat readiness and began sealing off all entrances and exits.
"Sheriff, emergency. A multiverse is rapidly approaching DC Multiverse 1. Estimated time to impact: thirty seconds."
Adjutant raised a hand and projected a hologram. It showed a scaled-down multiverse selection interface, where a white sphere marked by a red circle was moving rapidly. Among the many motionless spheres, it looked like a swimming fish.
"This is most likely Blank's countermeasure." Su Ming strode over to Adjutant's side and leaned closer to inspect the projection, while tossing the jar containing Cockroach and the spellcasting focus to Bobo. "Friends, perhaps our enemy is about to deliver us some new intelligence."
"Eugh!" The blurred object was rapidly passed back and forth between the gorilla's hands as though it were scalding hot, with nowhere good to grab.
"We need to leave, Slade." Zorn Batman immediately made a decision. He spoke quickly. "Sepulk holds immense strategic value for you and for us. We cannot make this our battlefield. Darkseid's engineering and the Anti-Mother Box defense system are good, but I doubt they can withstand Blank's new method. You need to have it move together with the Spectre Universe immediately."
"That was exactly my thought. Adjutant, contingency plan K-33." Su Ming patted the Silver-haired Maiden on the shoulder and quickly returned to the group. Then everyone made an emergency departure in a flash of blue light.
Next, Adjutant would take the Spectre Universe into hiding, perhaps by first severing its connection to DC Multiverse 1 and retreating to the 40K Universe to lie low for a while.
