Humans were one of the races in the universe most obsessed with fighting among themselves. They delighted in sending their own kind to meet Death, but when it was their own turn to enter that gray world and face the smiling Maiden, they screamed, cried, and hysterically shouted that they did not want to die.
The more eagerly they had embraced death in the past, the more terrified they became at the end. It was undeniably hilarious.
