Talking business over food was probably one of China's unique traditions. At any rate, Su Ming saw nothing wrong with it. He was grilling Jason a vegetable skewer over the small campfire, a mixed kebab of onions, peppers, and tomatoes.

As he turned the skewer, Su Ming watched Jason absentmindedly eat, clearly with little appetite. He continued, "Tell us what exactly happened to you. Still pale and frail, Jason nodded. He put a piece of dried tofu skin from his fork back into the boiling red broth, let out a long breath, and his gaze lost focus.

Su Ming told him not to drag it out too long, or Harley would fall asleep again later.
