However, compared to when they had entered before, the Batcave now looked as though it had been ransacked. The drawers of many cabinets had been opened, some of Batwoman's collectibles were missing, and even the Final Machine that could heal the wounded had been destroyed.
There were several new footprints on the floor, marks left by a skeleton's shoes. He had been here.
The timeline of the crime was probably like this: Harley had left the Batcave with the healed Milkman Superman and taken the elevator back to the study on the second floor. After that, Superman went to the butler's room to chat with Jason, while she went to the wine cellar beneath the kitchen on the first floor.
Meanwhile, the skeleton in the garage had come back to life. He should have entered the Batcave by another route—the secret passage in Bruce's second-floor bedroom—and stolen a whole pile of things from here, while also destroying the Final Machine.
Afterward, he returned to the butler's room on the first floor, ambushed Superman and Jason, then took the unconscious Superman away and ran into Harley, who had just returned.
That was roughly what had happened, and there were several clues to be found in it.
