The room was dimly lit. The only luminous object was a massive glass tank standing in the center, its upper and lower ends connected to the ceiling and floor. It was filled with yellowish-green liquid, while fine bubbles continuously sprayed from the bottom. The tiny bubbles rose swiftly through the water, supplying oxygen to whatever was inside the tank.
The thick tank was originally large enough to soak a horse, yet in reality, it contained only a skull. Dense bundles of cables and mechanical arms were connected to it, making it resemble a wetware computer.
Outside the tank, Tuxedo Skeleton tossed the pocket of medicinal powder and Milkman Superman aside. With his hands behind his back, he paced back and forth a few times, his hollow eye sockets fixed on the skull in the tank. The other party seemed to be looking back at him as well.
Three women were crouched at the doorway outside the room, peeking in. It seemed they had not been noticed.
Tuxedo Skeleton took out a small notebook and wrote something in it. He turned it around to show the skull in the tank. It was impossible to tell whether the latter had seen it, but more bubbles rose inside the tank, denser than before, and currents of electricity flashed through it.
"So that's how it is."
A moment later, the skull seemed to calm down, and an electronically synthesized voice rang out in the room.
Tuxedo Skeleton nodded, indicating that was indeed the case. At the same time, he began scribbling furiously again, writing quickly in the bat-emblazoned notebook before showing it to the skull once more.
After reading the new words, the skull let out electronic laughter that sounded like a telegraph signal.
"I'm beginning to understand. This is your plan. How should
