The smooth progress displayed on the screen made the surviving elves in the city breathe a sigh of relief. When they saw the three contestants operating their gliders to escape the city, people seemed to have forgotten that many of their kin had been killed by zombies not long ago, as well as the two contestants who had tragically died in the game.
Number Four had been highly capable and courageous, yet he had been electrocuted by a trap in the blink of an eye. Still, the elves sensed nothing wrong with that.
All they felt now was the joy of surviving the disaster and anticipation for the rewards the Elf Race would receive after completing the mission. At this moment, hope had appeared in their hearts.
The Aen Seidhe Elves ought to have been a dark race. The Vampires, the former masters of this planet, had been exterminated because they were not as dark as the elves. But clearly, the elves had failed to keep up with the times. What they faced now was a new kind of darkness.
