The sudden change inevitably gave the elf residents a huge fright. Being attacked out of nowhere in the darkness was a classic horror movie scenario, except they had never watched horror movies and lacked that kind of knowledge.
Some screamed, while others were frightened stiff. They stared blankly at Number Four in the scroll projection, desperately tearing at the little creature on his face.
Surely some of Channel 52's many viewers had been frightened as well, which was why Ambush Bug laughed so happily. He was just that kind of man who loved pranks.
"Wow, it really is exactly like the Facehugger I remember." He gave Deathstroke a thumbs-up, showing that even as a viewer, he was very satisfied with the prop. "Looks like Deathstroke mastering Quantum Concepts is a good thing. When Doctor Manhattan had it, he never brought us any fun at all."
As a high-level being, Ambush Bug remembered everything about Doctor Manhattan. Channel 52 remembered too, even if most viewers had probably had their memories wiped by Deathstroke.
But that was fine. They could say whatever they wanted on the show, because the viewers who could watch it were either people beyond the Fourth Wall, higher-dimensional beings, super-powered experts, or lunatics. The first few types naturally knew about it already; as for the crazy ones, nobody would believe them even if they told others.
"That blue man lost his emotions long ago. He believed he could see everything in the Future, and he never doubted it. Nothing was novel to him anymore." Su Ming swallowed the crab roe in his mouth and washed it down with a gulp of beer. "But he's already dead, so let's show the Deadman some respect. He wasn't actually that bad."
"An artificial God... tsk, tsk. True, what he did can't
