Amber's condition was fairly stable, and there was no sign that her memories had been tampered with. The bear specimen had been airtight and sweltering, so her pale complexion was understandable.
So Su Ming temporarily categorized her as someone who could be questioned. For the moment, however, he did not ask anything and simply let her eat and drink her fill.
He took out more food and beverages, making it clear that there was plenty to eat here. And it was not the garbage that a Mage could conjure by hand, either. The juice from his factory really contained 0.003% fruit pulp. It was not entirely flavoring mixed with water, so it had to be at least a little nutritious, right?
Clearly, Amber had never sampled food from Another World before. She quickly focused on eating and drinking, seemingly thinking about nothing else.
But she was a highly trained Stormwind Intelligence agent. How could she possibly have no thoughts at all? She was simply smart enough. Mentioning Marshal Windsor earlier, then asking for food and demonstrating that she could fight—those were all part of her plan.
She had not said anything about serving Deathstroke, yet she was expressing that meaning at every turn.
Deathstroke, who had likewise taken out a bottle of liquor to drink, did not mind this at all. In fact, it was good news. It proved that Amber's mind had not been controlled and that she still retained her own habits and personality.
That meant the enemies hiding in the dark could not brainwash everyone or alter a target's memories at will.
Their methods were basically useless against people with especially strong willpower, high intelligence, or magical or exotic defenses protecting their brains. Their tricks were not omnipotent.
It seemed there was no third-party force involved. Strange
