The sound of trickling water flowed past the door, and the stench of the sewers seeped in through the crack. The underground Safehouse was fairly quiet. Deathstroke, disguised as Batwoman, was staring down a green-hatted ape.

A gleaming wooden pipe hung from the corner of Bobo's mouth. He did not know why Deathstroke was pretending to be Batwoman again, but he said this was serious.

He had not felt much at first on Earth-16, but after entering the Batcave, a chill quickly ran down his spine. At first, he thought he was simply having a stress reaction from not adapting to the environment.

But when the Bat-Computer successfully activated and those red eyes flashed across the monitor, inspiration struck him.

That strange feeling was the Sense of Being Watched Deathstroke had always talked about. Something was secretly watching him and Batwoman. He did not know exactly what it was, but the ape's fur stood on end. It was fear on the level of biological instinct, like a Mouse sensing a cat lurking somewhere in the unknown darkness.

There was no reason for it. His Beast instinct told him that the voyeur was immensely powerful, and Batwoman could provide no sense of security whatsoever.

He had to get to Deathstroke's side immediately. Only then could he feel at ease.

And that was indeed the case. Though both of them looked like Batwoman, the fake Batwoman, Deathstroke, made him feel more secure instead. When Bobo saw the two pointed ears atop his head, he even felt like laughing.

"Ah, so you've finally experienced the feeling I've had all along, heh heh."

With Batwoman's face, even Deathstroke's laughter became much more restrained. He reached out to pat Mindy's head and checked whether she had a fever.
