The first reaction of the Superheroes in the room upon hearing the alarm was naturally to run toward the command room. That was where the global monitoring system was located, allowing them to learn the specifics of the situation immediately.

But there was a problem: the meeting room door was not that wide. It was normally sufficient for two people to enter or leave side by side, but when a whole group of people plus an electric wheelchair tried to squeeze out at the same time, no one could get through.

Except for the few who ran fastest.

Jay was still the first to reach the monitoring room, but he was too old and somewhat at a loss when it came to high-tech gadgets. Wrapped in crackling electricity as the alarms beeped wildly, he did not dare poke around at random.

He was not Detective Chimp, able to fiddle with any technological device and immediately figure out how to use it. That took talent.

To say nothing else, her entire family of three were Superheroes. Even Batwoman had to regard her highly. That made her absolutely trustworthy. Anyone else probably could not have passed verification as a third-rate hero.

This was, after all, the command terminal of the Hall of Justice, not something just anyone was qualified to use. Aside from personnel on duty, who received access for the day, only Batwoman herself and Martian Manhunter had clearance.
