In the dazzling, directionless space, Amo fell silent for a few seconds. In the end, he nodded, because there was no possibility of defying the Goddess's orders.

Since she did not intend to send him against Deathstroke, there must be another task. He would simply wait and listen.

"I will send the Time Gremlins to do things you cannot. You are familiar with the various Earths. Wherever they say they are going, you will be responsible for leading the way."

The mysterious gray female figure stroked her small belly, as though sensing what was growing within it. A maternal glow appeared on her face.

"Cooperate with them. Do not worry about time. Do your best to accomplish the task. Now leave. I must deal with one of my sisters; her ideas differ from mine."

For gods, speaking something into existence was basic. She said there would be Time Gremlins, and so they appeared.

They looked like leaf monkeys with enormous eyes, no larger than a human palm. Yet these monsters were covered in ominous red fur, with a pair of fly-like wings on their backs. Beneath their pelts were absurdly compact muscles. They let out chittering laughter, baring mouths full of sharp fangs.

"As you wish, Mother. Every Multiverse, every story of every age—we, humanity, and all living things shall return to your warm womb."

Amo bowed solemnly. It was as though he had gained unprecedented motivation. Though he had been filled with fear and worry before, after only a few words, he seemed completely renewed.

The Goddess called Mother had done something to him, but no one could see it. That was her power: a void manifested as darkness.

"Such an obedient child. Go." The Goddess spoke, but she was the first to vanish into the darkness, as though
