The chimp took a bat-shaped flashlight, climbed off Deathstroke's shoulder, and went to scale the bookshelves. There were too many comics here; finding it might take a little time.
However, before operating the Tuning Fork, someone had fed the chimp a few drops of Felix Felicis. Bobo's luck was quite good now, and he quickly found the target.
Pinching a comic between two fingers in distaste, he clung to the bookshelf and turned around to ask:
"Is this the one you wanted?"
The reason he loathed this particular book was that it was Dark Multiverse. Simply put, it was the prequel to the Dark Metal event, telling the origins of crazies like The Batman Who Laughs.
Just seeing the laughing man on the cover made Bobo intensely uncomfortable. After all, that was his enemy. The Dark Knights had killed his good friend Master Night Jim, and even Blue Devil had died in the events that followed.
Though the chimp ran a bar and knew many people, he had few friends. After all, not many people could truly treat a chimp as an equal.
Someone like Deathstroke, who would carry him around on his shoulder, was utterly one of a kind.
"Hmm, starting with this one is fine too. Let me see if there are any details I overlooked."
Catching the comic the monkey tossed him, Su Ming sat cross-legged on the floor, found a comfortable position against the bookshelf, then took out several bottles of orange juice and invited Mindy to sit down and have some too.
"Bo, help me find Flash issues from around 2001, along with Constantine issues from that period. Oh, and bring Witch Boy's solo series too."
"What? That Witch Boy kid has his own solo series, but I don't?"
