There was nothing around them—no time, no space, no direction, no sound.

Bobo felt an intense wave of fatigue wash over his mind. His eyelids drooped involuntarily, and his breathing became light and slow, as though he would fall asleep the next second.

Then he felt a sharp pain in his upper thigh. His monkey eyes flew wide open, just in time to see Batwoman, played by Deathstroke, emerging beside him from darkness like sludge or tar, a tuft of black fur still clutched in her hand.

"Don't fall asleep. You'll die."

As the man spoke, sticky void matter wrapped around his body, but a deep blue radiance formed from mingled quantum energy and darkness shielded him. Deathstroke pinched the gorilla's upper thigh, dragging him back from the brink of death, then immediately pressed a piece of Tenth Metal against the back of his head as insurance.

There were two Concept Manifestations of nothingness in the DC Universe. One was Pralaya, and the other was Mother Night. Both were Goddesses with the identity of mother.

It was nothing strange for a concept to have multiple Manifestations. Over in Marvel, Eternity represented time and space, while Infinity represented space and time. There was not much difference.

Compared to the forgotten Pralaya, Mother Night was more famous, mainly because of her children—the renowned Endless.

Destiny, Death, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair, Delirium.

Everyone knew what each of them represented, but their respective concepts could also be said to have been inherited from Mother Night.

Nothingness contained an enormous number of concepts. Nearly ninety percent of all concepts originated from it. Since the world had been born from nothingness, its children naturally inherited some things from it.

Mother Night was extremely powerful when she got serious. The Endless were like children before her.
