"I have no more questions. As expected, you understand that man better."
Damian took a deep breath and puffed out his chest. He was a little saddened by the realization that he did not actually know his biological father that well, but it was only a brief emotional fluctuation. He quickly pulled himself together. "It's just that our speed is still a bit of a problem."
How could it not be? More than a dozen people were sitting on a huge flatbed cart with wooden wheels, the kind without rubber technology. Only one mechanical man was pulling it, and each of his strides was barely over a meter. Even if he was running, he was not a speedster.
They had been on the cart for over ten minutes now. Whether they had even traveled two kilometers from the fast-food restaurant was questionable.
"This is already the fastest I can go!" Cliff, who was pulling the cart, protested. Robotman had turned wooden at this point. "How about I get on and sit down while you pull?"
"Fuck! Get on, I'll pull." Robin was too embarrassed to respond, but his teammate stepped up. It was Crush, pale-skinned and speaking as she spat into her palms. "Ptooey! Ptooey! Move it!"
As half Tamaranean, she had great confidence in both her speed and strength. Tamaraneans were basically Supermen who could neither fly nor shoot lasers from their eyes.
"Don't be like that, Cliff. How could we possibly let a child pull the cart?"
Elasti-Girl clearly did not want to ride in a cart pulled by a minor. More importantly, Crush was obviously a violent type. If she pulled the cart, there would probably be no safety whatsoever. And if Elasti-Girl got nervous, her superpower would go out of control, turning her into a puddle
