The seabed referred to the surface of the oceanic crustal plates and everything contained within them. Calling it the seafloor was not wrong in general terms, but it was more fitting to regard it as a continent beneath the seawater—except that fish and other marine life lived on that continent instead of people.

As a vast plate, the seabed resembled land terrain closely. It had high mountains and deep valleys, gentle slopes and plains, ravines and ridges. When Su Ming spoke of the edge of the seabed, he was actually referring to the boundary between the North Sea continental shelf plate and several other continental plates.

There were trenches or undersea volcanic regions there.

People from later generations knew more about the North Sea, because it was the United Kingdom's primary oil and natural gas production region.

The seabed structure here was relatively complex. The existence of oil and gas reservoirs indicated underground cavities beneath the plate. Since Su Ming had been unable to locate the precise source of the tremors, he suspected they might be coming from inside the seabed.

Cloak plunged into the sea like a diving osprey. A mass of white bubbles instantly obscured everyone's vision, but what emerged afterward was a beautiful underwater vista.

The coastal area differed from the seabed near the continental shelf and the Equator in the Southern Hemisphere. That region had lovely Coral Reefs and beautiful tropical fish, while this place possessed an entirely different kind of beauty.

Deep. Cold. Stern. A sunken prehistoric forest lay here.

Faint sunlight filtered down through the seawater. In the relatively shallow areas, they could clearly make out the forest's features. Not far from them stood an oak fossil covered in seaweed and shells, exposed atop a seabed blanketed in white sand. A single branch alone
