As a Fifth-Dimensional Being, Mister Mxyzptlk was practically a god in the Third-Dimensional World, but he was not omniscient or omnipotent. At least, psychiatric patients like Harley were the type he could never quite figure out.
But that had nothing to do with him. Whether Harley had stolen this thing or Deathstroke had given it to her, it did not matter.
Holding the Drawing Board, he let the rain pass straight through his body and props. He examined it, pulled a pen from his pocket, dipped it into the paint on the board, and drew a circle in the air before him.
With that simple stroke, the floating circle came alive. It gained color, becoming a three-dimensional Earth, then began to spin as tiny points of light lit up across it like countless household lamps.
Then it suddenly expanded and spread. In the blink of an eye, the dazzling Gotham of old returned. Batwoman's wooden boat turning back into a yacht was proof enough.
Chief's wheelchair returned to normal, Robotman Cliff's body recovered, and Red Arrow's compound bow reappeared as well.
As the Bat-Signal lit up above Gotham once more, Harley smiled even more happily. She still preferred this familiar Gotham to that pitch-black metal forest.
The city they could see had returned, so the other places they could not see had probably returned too, right?
"Not bad, shorty." Harley wanted to pat the Fifth-Dimensional Being on the back, but her palm passed directly through his body, striking nothing but air and rain.
"Don't celebrate too soon, crazy woman." Mister Mxyzptlk did not relax at all. He gripped his pen and stared intently at the sky, as though he could find flowers in the storm clouds. "Things going too smoothly is not always a good thing. You understand that, right?
