In the darkest hour before dawn, a silent army marched through the city. Unfortunately, they could hardly be called orderly, because these corpses had no heads, and their clothes were even more tattered, making them look like refugees.

Mr. Hunter's home was just as run-down. A house with rat holes even in the corners of its walls had no soundproofing whatsoever. The man's snoring on the sofa sounded like a chainsaw, and many Headless Living Corpses slowed down as they passed the door, seemingly searching for the source of the noise.

But that problem was easy enough to solve. Su Ming had Strangle close the man's mouth, and the snoring immediately grew much quieter.

The Living Corpses outside no longer lingered. Like a tide, they continued toward the city center.

Mimi, hugging a can of catnip, raised her head. She licked her little nose and questioned Deathstroke with her eyes.

There was no need to speak. Su Ming knew what she meant, so he quickly wrote on the dust-covered tabletop with his finger:

So Su Ming could not quite figure it out. These Living Corpses should have attacked much like zombies, but the corpses Pralaya had created had no heads. Wasn't that equivalent to losing one of their two attack methods?

Then there was only one explanation: Pralaya
