No one wanted to watch him dance, so Star-Lord merely shrugged. Their loss.
So he plopped down and stared at the enormous star in the distance, seemingly trying to spot exactly where the Eagle God was within it.
Under Rocket's control, the ship slowly approached the orbit of the planet also called Arcturus. This race's homeworld—and everyone's destination this time—looked somewhat like Earth. The only question was whether there was any business to be found down there.
A moment later, Star-Lord's eyes began to water. He hadn't caught even a glimpse of the Eagle God's shadow, but staring at a star for too long really hurt his eyes.
Just then, a voice came through the ship's comm console. After Mantis connected it, the other party's projected image and voice appeared on the bridge. He was a burly man wearing a helmet identical to Kamen Rider's, and he spoke in standard London English:
"This is the Arcturian Raptor Guard. Stop your ship and submit to inspection."
"No problem. We're legitimate merchants here to do business." Star-Lord answered with a smile, though his attention remained fixed on the man's strange helmet.
"We will determine whether you are legitimate merchants. However, your ship bears the emblem of the Marauders. Arcturus is in a special situation right now, and we need to board and inspect your vessel."
Though the other man wore a mask, Star-Lord could still feel him looking at him like he was an idiot through those beetle-like red eyes.
Yeah, the moment they got the ship, he had Groot and Drax paint a huge Marauders emblem on its hull. Wasn't that proof of their mercenary crew's identity?
What were mercenary crews? Violent organizations. Arcturus was busy rebuilding now, and if a bunch of armed street punks showed up, of course they
