An emerald-green eyeball floated over and spun once in front of Little Rich. It looked semi-transparent, somewhat like a kiwi, except it emitted an eerie, cold glow.

"Yes, Master." Franklin came back to himself. He first sighed, then lifted Arcturus's spacetime lockdown. "But if I see him again next time, I should be able to figure something out."

The boy was quite resilient—or perhaps that was simply a scientist's spirit of inquiry.

Doom, standing to the side, shook his head. He placed a hand on the boy's shoulder and said to Deathstroke, "Doom has some guesses about the power he used. It resembled the power of the Old Ones. Slade, which Another World did he come from this time? It sounds like he was investigating you."

Deathstroke was actually behind the eyeball. It had originally been placed here to watch Eagle God. That fellow was skilled with technology, and even nano spy robots were not reliable enough, so something from the Mystic Side had been used instead.

"Yes. I met him once before and casually exchanged a few words with him." The green eyeball had no mouth, yet Deathstroke's hoarse, sinister voice came from within it. "Let's find somewhere quiet to talk."

As he spoke, the eyeball turned toward where Gamora and Star-Lord were hiding, swiveling left and right to indicate that this had nothing to do with them and they should go back to whatever they had been doing.
